Shayna is an empathetic and knowledgeable therapist, who creates non-judgmental zones for her clients to feel comfortable and safe to open up in. She is warm and caring, and has a wide array of therapies, tools, and techniques from which she draws upon to best help her clients. She works with her clients to help deepen their self growth and development, and guides them through the process of taking steps to improve their lives. Shayna utilizes a variety of cognitive modalities, including cognitive behvaioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive processing therapy, as well as motivational interviewing, play therapy, polyvagal theory, mindfulness, self love and acceptance, and, solution focused therapy. Furthermore, Shayna practices the various forms of Emotionally Focused Therapy, with individuals, couples, and families. She also practices trauma focused therapy, and has taken seminars and lectures from world leading experts in trauma, and in recovery and healing from trauma.
